Q04B — Lucky

Set Lucky loose on your game and he'll attack from the left and right and from above. If you're Lucky you could win this way, but it's much more likely to end in a Game Over. (Bring your thwapstick.)

How Earned

"Lucky" is earned by achieving a score over 77,077 points. If you are playing while the necessary score is reached, the game should display "EARNED BOOST ''LUCKY'' ; READ OPTIONS & INFO FOR INSTRUCTIONS"

What It Does

Once enabled by following the link below, this boost adds a circular icon with a picture of a keyboard (leopard). The icon appears to the right of the move preference icon described on the Chirpy page.

To use a Lucky Credit, click/touch on the Lucky icon so that it is "glowing":

You'll see a message: "FEELING LUCKY? TOUCH/CLICK THE 'Q04B' TITLE TO AUTO-PLAY." If you then touch or click on the Q04B title, the game will begin playing automatically using the sequence of moves: Left, Right, Down, Left, Down, (repeat).

Before touching the title to activate, if you change your mind and decide not to use Lucky, you can touch/click the Lucky icon again, and it will return to the normal un-glowing state and a message "LUCKY CANCELLED." indicates this.

When Lucky is running, you may make him stop by making any move manually, or by touching the title again, or by touching a boost icon, or by pressing the space bar.

Lucky will also stop automatically if there are no free spaces in the grid. There is a reasonable chance of still being able to make a move from this position, but it's tough.

Since Lucky moves left, right, and down, he is effectively building against the bottom. If you would prefer that Lucky build against the top, you may use the move preference icon (as discussed on the Chirpy page) to select up:

Lucky will build against the bottom if the move preference is set to either of these:

Any other setting will give a message, Lucky works only if the move preference is up △ or down ▽ . If you change the move preference icon while Lucky is running, Lucky stops (just as when you hit any of the boost icons).

The first time you activate Lucky, the "Best Score" display will be replaced by "Molpiest Score". The molpiest score is the highest score you have achieved in a game in which you have used the Lucky boost. The Best Score is still there, and will be seen if you start a new game.

When activating Lucky for the first time in a game, the game state just prior to Lucky activation will be added to the Console Log on the Options&Info page. This is to allow you to recover should you decide you'd rather have continued playing without Lucky's "help".

You have earned the "Lucky" boost.

Once you have read and understand the above, follow this link to enable the boost and continue your game!

(You have already enabled this boost, and it will still be enabled regardless of whether you follow the link again.
However, if you are not going to use this boost and want to disable it, you may do so by following this link. You can always re-enable it later!)
