Influencing Mu-Molecule
Robert P. Munafo, 2002 Apr 22.
The nearest island whose iteration dynamics has influence on the shape of a given embedded Julia set. Usually, this is the nearest island whose distance from the embedded Julia set is less than the size of that island itself. However, this is not true for the nodes, also called nuclei and paramecia, within a larger embedded Julia Set. They are actually higher-order embedded Julia sets in their own right, and their influencing island is another lower-rank node or the island at the center of the nucleus — it is because of their relatively great distance and small size of the influencing island that the nodes have such odd shapes.
