Heiland-Allen, Claude
A fractal enthusiast, programmer, and long-time contributer to exploration of the Mandelbrot set. Heiland-Allen's contributions involve (among other things) atom domain rendering, rendering of external angle rays (as seen on Wikipedia), substantial improvements to the Kalles Fraktaler deep-zoom program (including practical working implementations of bivariate linear approximation and Newton-Raphson zooming), creative work and discoveries in the art of Leavitt navigation, algorithmic code for many Mandelbrot-related tasks (e.g. Laurent series, embedded Julia set size estimation, stability window and island size calculation), and many more.
From the Mandelbrot Set Glossary and Encyclopedia, by Robert Munafo, (c) 1987-2024.
