Conjugate
Robert P. Munafo, 2023 Apr 17.
The "conjugate" of a complex number has the same real and imaginary components, except that the sign of the imaginary component is reversed.
The Mandelbrot set is symmetrical around the real axis in such a way that every point has the same dwell as its conjugate, and if a point is a member then its conjugate is also. Thus, every feature including islands and filaments appear in conjugate pairs.
