Success (glossary entry)

As the word is used in these pages, success can be expressed as:

Effectively completing tasks.

Accomplishing aims or goals, or completing useful projects.

Effectively carrying out a mission.

Fulfilling a purpose.

Knowing your purpose; see MCV02.

This is intended to be in order of increasing importance. The order is this way because of the interrelationships described on the standards and priorities pages.

The last two are particularly important:

Fulfilling a life purpose (or serving one's mission) is both necessary and sufficient for success.
