XaoS
Robert P. Munafo, 2010 Sep 21.
XaoS is a fractal-drawing program with the rather remarkable ability to produce smooth zoom animation in real time. To accomplish this it re-uses all pixels in one frame for the next frame, along with a sort of adjacency optimization to exclude calculating pixels in the interior of large connected solid regions.
XaoS originated in the late 1990's. Like FRACTINT it is Open software and the product of a collaborative effort.
