Complex Plane
Robert P. Munafo, 2003 Oct 6.
A plane can be thought of as being the set of all complex numbers, and then used as a way of visualizing relationships between those numbers using pictures. It is also possible to use geometric methods to prove things about complex numbers. Views of the Mandelbrot set are thought of as being views of a subset of the complex plane.
