Virtual Banner for -AT-
20260212.0826
I asked Claude Sonnet 4.5.
Here is the prompt, and my edited and significantly improved version of its responses.
raw prompt
I was a member of a group of men who had a banner. The banner was brought to each monthly meeting by one man, and at the end of the meeting we decided who would take the banner with him for safekeeping until the next meeting. This was an honour, and was assigned to a man who had shown exceptional courage and authenticity during the meeting. I am now a member of a similar group that meets online, and we would like to ceremonailly bestow an honour of this type, bt we need to think of a "thing" that is being assigned in lieu of a physical object (the banner). There is no need to enforce uniqueness of possession as with an NFT, and we want to avoid the use of a legal agreement or financial transaction; trust in honesty will be adequate. What are some interesting or exciting ideas for things that could be assigned to the chosen man each month?
Claude's response was edited, with my own ideas combined, here is the result:
Here are some ideas that could capture that sense of honor and responsibility:
Title-Based Honors:
- "Bearer of the Banner", "Keeper of the Flame", or "Guardian of the Circle" - a ceremonial title announced at each meeting, perhaps with the honoree's name recorded in a shared document or displayed during meetings.
Symbolic Digital Objects
- A custom digital image/crest that only the current holder displays as their video background or profile picture during meetings
- A unique Zoom name prefix like "{fire-emoji} [Name] — Keeper of the Flame" that only the honoree uses until the next meeting
- A virtual "talking stick" - a designated emoji or symbol he alone can use in the chat during the next meeting to signal important moments (partly overlaps following "responsibility" category)
Responsibility-Based Honours
- Opening the next meeting: With a title like "Voice of Truth"
there would be an opening ritual segment, limited to a minute or
two and just after Confidentiality, in which the rotating
title-holder has the right and responsibility to open the next
meeting with: a quote, story, a brief reflection, etc.
- This sets the tone, and perhaps inspires the core meeting planners in setting their CPR results, core activity and/or agenda for the meeting. Thus the honoree has to work toegether with another man prior to the meeting, and will be embraced as a possible source of creative input.
Creative Recognition/Collaborative contributions:
(These partly overlap and follow on the "opening next meeting" idea above)
- The Group's Questions - the honoree poses an opening question for the next gathering — posted in the public forum after being cleared by a designated core team member.
- Keeper of the Group Story - the honoree adds an entry to an ongoing shared journal documenting the group's journey, including reflections on what was shared that month. This would fall under the purview of the Division's Context-keeper (formerly "shaman"), or perhaps S1 when such a post is not fileld.
- A rotating poem or piece of writing where each honoree adds a stanza or paragraph, creating something that grows over time
